ingredients
2 ounces chopped Spanish peanuts
1 can (#303 size) cream style corn
2 ounces crumbled bacon
2 jalapeno peppers, chopped fine
1 medium onion, chopped
3 cups cornmeal
1 1/2 cup flour
1 3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 1/3 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup water
1/3 pound melted butter
3 eggs
deep fat for frying
directions
Combine ingredients well, roll into one-oz. rolls. Fry in deep fat at 450 degrees F until golden brown. Serve piping hot with seafood dishes.
