Cabbage, Cheese, And Egg Casserole

ingredients
1 small cabbage, coarsely chopped
1 cup water
1/3 cup toasted sliced almonds
1 cup grated Cheddar cheese
1 jar (8 ounce size) chopped pimiento
2 hard-cooked eggs, chopped
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
3/4 cup crushed buttery round crackers
2 tablespoons butter
directions
Combine cabbage with water. Bring to a boil and steam for 3 minutes. Drain and discard water.
Mix steamed cabbage with next 6 ingredients. Spread into a greased 11- x 7-inch baking dish. Sprinkle with crushed crackers. Dot with butter.
Cover and bake at 375 degrees F for 25 minutes. Uncover and bake 5 minutes more.
