Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.

1 whole trout or bluefish, cleaned and washed (also goes well with swordfish and salmon)
1 package dry Italian salad dressing mix, prepared
Place fish in pan and pour seasoning over it. Cover and refrigerate for about 1 hour.
Place in oven at 350 degrees F and bake 15 minutes for every inch of thickness (if fish is two inches thick, bake for 30 minutes).
You may also barbecue by wrapping fish with seasonings in heavy duty aluminum foil. Very easy, very good.

Very simple to bake, yet very delicious! I had never baked trout before & had no idea how to make it. The cook time, temp. and seasoning was perfect! I will do this recipe again! :)
