These crisp croutons are perfect for topping a salad or bowl of soup. They are made by tossing French bread cubes with melted butter, garlic powder, and Parmesan cheese before baking.
8 ounces French bread loaf, cut in cubes
1/2 cup margarine or butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Heat oven to 300 degrees F. Spread cubes on cookie sheet. In small bowl, combine melted margarine and garlic powder; mix well. Drizzle margarine mixture over cubes; toss to coat. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake at 300 degrees F for 30-45 minutes or until dry, crisp and golden brown, stirring occasionally.
