- #41068
1-2 hrs
ingredients
4 cups grated raw sweet potatoes
1 1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup sorghum syrup
1/3 cup melted butter or margarine
3 eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2/3 teaspoon salt
directions
As you grate the potatoes, put in the milk to keep them from turning dark. Combine all ingredients, mixing well. Spoon mixture into a lightly greased 2-quart casserole dish.
Bake at 325 degrees F for 1 1/2 hours. Let brown during this time, and turn with a spoon 3 times.

Love buffalo wings? Get that same hot, zippy flavor in everything from deviled eggs to enchiladas. And of course: wings.
Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
