The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.

Pie so sweet, you'll want to parlez-vous francais! Our traditional French-Canadian sugar pie is a delectable union of brown sugar and cream.
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 (8-inch size) pie crust
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
Combine the brown sugar, heavy whipping cream, and flour in a mixing bowl. Beat on medium speed with an electric mixer until the pie filling is smooth.
Pour the filling into the pie crust. Place the sugar pie in the oven and bake at 400 degrees F for 30 minutes or until it is the consistency of firm pudding.
Remove the pie from the oven and let cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes, if serving warm. If serving chilled, let the pie cool completely then place in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours. Store any leftovers in a covered container in the refrigerator.
NO! Traditional French-Canadian sugar pie does NOT contain eggs despite what you find online. There are modern versions that contain egg but the original version does not.

Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.

The pie didn't work at all. the filing actully boiled in the crust. I was very discouraged and disappointed. and i wouldn't recommen this one to anyone.
That's exactly what it is supposed to do. The filling boils and caramelizes to create the pie.
