Hoosier Sugar Cream Pie

ingredients
1 pie pastry (9 inch), unbaked
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup half and half
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
1/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
directions
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
Fit pastry in 9 inch pie pan. In bowl, thoroughly blend cream, half-and-half, sugar, flour and pour filling into prepared crust.
Dot with butter. Sprinkle with nutmeg. Bake 15 minutes. Remove pie from oven. Reduce heat to 350 degrees F. Wrap pie crust edges with foil to prevent scorching. Return to oven and bake 45 minutes more or until table knife inserted into center comes out clean.
Let cool 10 minutes before serving.
