This iconic whiskey is a "Jack of all trades" when it comes to cooking. Toss it in some pasta, as a savory dipping sauce, and even bake it into something sweet.
Amish Brown Sugar Pie

- #9586
1-2 hrs
ingredients
1 pastry shell (8-inch size), unbaked
1 cup brown sugar
3 tablespoons flour
1 pinch salt
12 ounces evaporated milk
2 1/2 tablespoons butter
ground cinnamon
directions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
In the pie shell, place brown sugar, flour and salt. Mix with your fingers. Pour the evaporated milk over the flour and sugar, but do not stir or mix. Dot with butter, drift cinnamon liberally over all.
Bake for 50 minutes or until the filling just bubbles up in the middle. The filling will never completely set, but that is the way it is supposed to be.
This pie is better eaten at room temperature. If you refrigerate leftovers reheat them in the oven before serving.
