Beefsteak Marinade using Vermouth
- add review
- #17272

ingredients
1/4 cup salad oil
1/4 cup dry vermouth
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 teaspoon prepared mustard
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
directions
Combine all marinade ingredients in electric blender container. Cover; process for about 2 minutes.
Pour marinade over steak; let stand at room temperature for 4 hours (I usually flip the meat over after about 2 hours so I actually marinate the whole thing instead of just one side).
Remove steak from marinade before cooking. Marinade may be used for basting sauce when cooking steak or reserved for other uses.

Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
It may look like a sad little package shoved in the back of your freezer, but frozen spinach actually has a lot of culinary uses (and some may surprise you).

This is a tasty marinade. The vermouth gives it a different but very pleasant flavour. I found it a bit too salty, so next time I would omit the salt, or use low-sodium soy sauce.
