Pizza night is always a favorite, especially when you have great tasting pizza from some of the most popular restaurants.

This crock pot soup mixes ham, potatoes, and black beans in a spiced beef broth for a hearty meal. Perfect with some cool sour cream on top!

16 ounces canned black beans, drained
2 potatoes, washed and diced
1/2 pound cooked ham, cut in pieces
6 cups beef broth
1/4 cup dried chopped onions
1 can (4 ounce size) chopped jalapeno peppers or mild chili peppers
1 clove garlic, minced
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon ground oregano
1 teaspoon ground thyme
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
Garnish
sour cream
chopped tomatoes
In crock pot, combine beans, potatoes, ham, broth, onion, peppers, garlic, cumin, oregano, thyme and cloves. Cover and cook on LOW 8-10 hours or on HIGH 4-5 hours.
Serve. Garnish bowls with sour cream and chopped tomatoes if desired.

Really excellent! Hardy and very flavorful. The potatoes were very tender and went well with the black beans, I thought. This looked and tasted like a stew that would be served at some trendy restaurant.

Tasted wonderful but the color turned out a little gray from the beans. I think since the beans are canned I might add them during the last hour just long enough to really heat through or heat them longer on the stove and then stir them in just so it looks better. Tasted wonderful!
