Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.

ingredients
10 Hostess Ding Dongs
8 ounces cream cheese
1 1/2 cup powdered sugar
12 ounces whipped topping
1 package (large size) instant chocolate pudding mix
2 1/4 cups milk
miniature chocolate chips
directions
Cut Ding Dongs in half lengthwise. Layer 10 halves in the bottom of an 8x8-inch pan, with filling side up.
Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar and whipped topping until smooth. In another bowl whisk pudding mix and milk until thickened. Spread pudding over Ding Dongs. Then spread half of cream cheese mixture over pudding.
Sprinkle chocolate chips over top. Then top with another layer of Ding Dongs, cut side down. Top with the remaining cream cheese mixture, and sprinkle chocolate chips on top. Refrigerate.
