Green Beans Au Gratin

ingredients
1 1/2 pound green beans
3/4 cup milk
3 tablespoons butter
3/4 cup grated cheese
salt
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
bread crumbs
butter
directions
Chop the beans finely and mix the milk, butter, 1/2 cup of the cheese and the seasonings.
Pour into a buttered casserole dish and bake in a 350 degrees F oven for one hour. Stir occasionally.
Ten minutes before the end of the cooking time, sprinkle with the remaining cheese and bread crumbs. Dot with butter and bake until golden brown.

I tried this last night for company. I used a 10 oz bag of frozen cut beans for 4 people and it turned out just right. Full of flavor. I recommend using one cup of milk if you are going to use the recommended amount of beans or it may turn out dry.
