Bacon Fried Green Beans

ingredients
4 slices bacon
1 pound green beans, ends trimmed and blanched
1 banana pepper, chopped
1 tablespoon flour
salt and pepper
directions
Chop bacon into 1" pieces and fry in a pan until crispy. Add beans and peppers, then cook over medium heat for about 3 minutes, stirring often.
Sprinkle in flour, then stir in several tablespoons water to make a gravy (add water until desired consistency is reached). Season to taste with salt and pepper.

My husband loved this recipe. I did use fresh green beans from the garden and I substituted an Italian roasting pepper for the banana pepper which gave it a little 'kick'. Serve it with rice or a starch to help balance the flavors.
