This recipe became our family sugar cookie recipe. I remember when I was a girl asking my mom if Mamie Eisenhower was one of her church lady friends. They are so buttery and crisp they donât be need icing. Worth the effort.
Looks good and easy... recommended to me by an avid cookie baker. She says it is the only sugar cookie recipe she willl use. I plan to use it in a few days when my grandson's come to visit.

I have been making these for several years and they are awesome! If you are lazy like me, you can also roll them into little balls & bake...a light icing (flavored with lemon) and they are amazing
