I really was hoping these would be like the Archway Bell & Stars cookies I had over Christmas, and I think I followed the recipe to a T since it is such a simple recipe to begin with, so that's a plus. Unfortunately, the cookies look like and tase like vanilla wafers to me. Which is fine, and in the end they are edible. Not sweet at all and the dough is really hard to roll, making my Mother-in-Law think I should throw more flower into the refrigerated dough. I don't know what went wrong. I probably will look for another recipe to try instead of this one.

Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
