ingredients
1/2 cup margarine
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup finely chopped sauerkraut, rinsed and drained
1 1/2 cup flour
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
directions
Cream together the margarine and sugar, beat in eggs, and stir in sauerkraut and vanilla.
Sift together flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to mixture.
Drop by spoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees F for 10 minutes. Do not over-bake. Remove at once to cool.
