ingredients
1 cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar
3 eggs, beaten
2 cups drained fruit cocktail
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup raisins
1 1/2 cup chopped nuts
4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon cloves
1 teaspoon salt
directions
Cream shortening, brown sugar, and eggs together. Add fruit cocktail, vanilla, raisins, and nuts.
In a separate bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, cloves, and salt. Add flour mixture to the first mixture and mix well.
Drop by teaspoonfuls on a greased baking sheet. Bake for 11-12 minutes at 400 degrees F.
