What's the secret ingredient in these cakes? Pudding mix. It not only adds flavor but it gives the cake a richer, creamier texture. No one will know your secret ingredient!

Turn Oreo cookies into a warm, crispy treat by dipping them in a batter of pancake mix, milk, and eggs, then deep-frying until golden brown. Serve while hot for best taste.
oil, for frying
2 cups pancake mix
1 1/2 cup milk
2 eggs, beaten
4 teaspoons oil
1 package (15 ounce size) Oreo cookies
Prepare your deep fryer as recommended by the manufacturer. Heat the oil to 375 degrees F.
Combine the pancake mix, milk, eggs, and oil in a bowl and stir until no clumps of mix are left.
Dip the cookies in the pancake mix batter evenly so it covers both sides. Let any excess batter drip off, then place the coated cookies in the deep fryer (cook in batches as needed, don't overcrowd them in the oil).
Fry until the cookies are golden brown, turning them if necessary to brown on both sides. Watch carefully so they don't burn.
Remove the deep-fried Oreos from the deep fryer and let drain on paper toweling. These should be enjoyed while still fairly hot.
Add a sprinkle of powdered sugar or a drizzle of chocolate sauce on top of the deep-fried Oreos for extra indulgence.
Try experimenting with different batters, such as a tempura batter or a funnel cake batter, for unique flavors and textures.
If the pancake mix batter becomes too thick, you can thin it out with a little more milk for a smoother coating consistency.
You can try using different types of cookies to deep fry such as Nutter Butters, Pepperidge Farms Milano cookies, any kind of sandwich cookie, and many Girl Scout cookies will work well.
Lower the temperature of the oil slightly to prevent the Oreos from browning too quickly.
Leftover deep-fried Oreos can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for a day, though they are best enjoyed fresh.
Reheating deep-fried Oreos in the microwave may make them soggy. It's best to reheat them in a conventional oven or air fryer for a crispy texture.
Deep Fryer or Deep Skillet: For achieving that crispy fried texture on the fried Oreos. If you don't have a deep fryer, a deep skillet can be used as an alternative.
Measuring Cups and Spoons: You'll need these to measure out the pancake mix, milk, and oil to create the batter.
Bowl: A medium-sized bowl is needed to mix together the pancake mix, milk, eggs, and oil for the batter.
Tongs: Use tongs to dip the Oreos into the batter and to remove them from the hot oil once they are golden brown and crispy.
Paper Towels: For draining the excess oil from the deep-fried Oreos before serving.
Thermometer (optional): If you're using a deep skillet for frying, a cooking thermometer can be helpful to make sure the oil reaches and maintains the correct temperature.
Cooling Rack (optional): Placing the fried Oreos on a cooling rack after frying can help prevent them from getting soggy by allowing air to circulate around them.
Ice Cream: the contrast of the warm, crispy exterior of the deep-fried Oreos with the cold, creamy ice cream will create an indulgent treat.
Fresh Fruit: a side of fresh berries or sliced fruit will add a refreshing element to balance out the rich and decadent deep-fried Oreos.
Whipped Cream: dollop a generous amount of whipped cream on top of the deep-fried Oreos for an extra indulgent touch - because why stop at fried when you can go all out?
Coffee: enjoy your deep-fried Oreos with a cup of coffee for a classic and comforting combination - the bitterness of the coffee will offset the sweetness of the cookies.

Taste a lot better using white cake mix!!!!!!!!!

This worked fine but I thought the batter would be sweeter. More like a doughnut. It wasn't bad but I might add some vanilla or something to the pancake mix next time.
Easier to make using funnel cake mix (use a little less water than recipe requires) and use a fry daddy.
