ingredients
1 cup evaporated milk
1/2 cup butter
3 cups sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 cup nuts
directions
Mix milk, butter and 2 cups sugar in saucepan, heating to boiling point. Melt 1 cup sugar in saucepan stirring constantly. Once melted, pour into the milk, butter, and sugar mixture.
Cook to soft ball stage. Add vanilla and nuts; beat until very firm. Pour into buttered 9 inch square pan. Cool.
