ingredients
1/2 cup margarine, softened
1/2 cup butter flavored vegetable shortening
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup water
1 package yellow cake mix
1 teaspoon cinnamon-vanilla spice
2 cups quick-cooking oats
1 cup raisins
1 cup pecans
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup coconut
directions
In a bowl, cream together margarine, shortening and brown sugar. Add eggs, water, and half of cake mix. Beat until smooth. Stir in remaining cake mix, cinnamon vanilla spice, oats raisins, pecans, chocolate chips and coconut.
Drop by teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart on baking sheet. Bake at 375 degrees F for 10-12 minutes.

These are the best and crispiest cookies I have ever made using a cake mix. They are delicious and the crispness just adds to them. I know I will be making batches of these for my grandchildren.
