Peanut Butter Picnic Cake

ingredients
2 1/4 cups flour
2 cups packed brown sugar
1 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 eggs
1 package (6 ounce size) semisweet chocolate morsels
directions
Grease bottom only of a 9 X 13-inch baking pan, set aside.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, peanut butter and butter. Beat until crumbly. Reserve 1 cup.
Add baking powder, baking soda, milk, vanilla and eggs. Blend until smooth. Pour batter into the prepared pan. Sprinkle reserved crumbs on top.
Sprinkle chocolate morsels over crumbs.
Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Let stand in pan until cool.
Cut into squares.
