Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.

- #3083
1-2 hrs
ingredients
1/3 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons honey
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
1 tablespoon sesame oil
2 tablespoons chopped sweet onion
3 boneless skinless chicken breast, sliced into strips
15 bamboo skewers (3 inch size, soaked in water several hours)
3 tablespoons sesame seeds
directions
In a large bowl combine the first 5 ingredients and stir well. Slice the chicken breast lengthwise into 1/4 inch thick pieces (about five per breast).
Skewer the chicken slices onto the bamboo sticks and place into a zip lock bag. Pour the marinade into the bag and place in refrigerator for one hour (or overnight).
Remove the chicken skewers from zip lock bag and discard the remaining marinade. Sprinkle the sesame seeds over the chicken and grill over a medium fire for four minutes per side (or until cooked through). Serve warm or at room temperature.

The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.
