1/4 cup flour 1/8 teaspoon black pepper 4 boneless chicken breasts, cut into strips 1/4 cup soy sauce 1/4 cup sugar 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil 2 tablespoons sesame seeds, toasted 1/4 cup chives, chopped 2 tablespoons oil
directions
Combine the flour and pepper in a zipper bag. Add the chicken and shake to coat.
Heat the oil in a large skillet. Add the chicken and cook until no longer pink. Remove from skillet.
And the soy sauce and sugar to the pan. Cook and stir until the sugar is melted. Stir in the oil and sesame seeds. Add the chicken and chives and stir to coat.
Followed the recipe exactly as written and it turned out very good. I thought it might be too sweet with the sugar in it but the salty soy sauce countered it.

Very tasty, indeed, and I also, added ginger. The only fault is following exactly the recipe gave exactly the perfect glaze for the chicken, but no juice left for the rice.

This was very easy and delicious...I think the only thing I'll change in the future is add some grated ginger root.

WOW! What a flavorful dish, I used scallions instead of chives-it was all I had,I also added ginger-and it was delicious. Tastes like I went to a restaurant! Thanks :)

Della, This is a wonderful recipe. Thank you! Everyone loved it. I made it just the way you had it (was about 1 1/2 lbs. chicken tenders) My kids love the flavor of green onions, so I left them in. And it was so quick and easy...I was really pleased, and will be making this often ... thanks again!

First of all, I thought the directions were a little vague. My 4 breasts of chicken weighed over 2 pounds. I think the recipe is good for about 1 pound of sugar. I made this with a kid's cooking class and everyone loved it. Somehow with I copied and pasted the recipe into word I lost the sugar from the ingredient list, so I guessed. We used one 1/8 cup sugar with the 1/4 cup of soy sauce. I didn't use the chives, but I did add 1/8 tsp of garlic powder to the recipe and we really enjoyed it.

Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
