Who knew bagels could be this easy? Frozen bread dough yields some brilliantly fresh bagels ready for cream cheese, butter, or breakfast sandwich toppings.

1 loaf frozen bread dough
1 gallon water
1 egg yolk
1 tablespoon water
Thaw the dough in the refrigerator overnight as directed on the package.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a baking sheet.
Bring the water to a boil in a Dutch oven or other large pot.
Slice the dough into 9 to 12 pieces using a sharp knife. Roll each piece into a rope and pinch the ends together to form the bagel shape.
Carefully drop the bagels into the boiling water. Cook for 1 minute per side. Remove the bagels from the water with a slotted spoon and place on the baking sheet.
Combine the egg yolk and water in a small bowl and mix until smooth. Brush the bagel with the egg mixture. Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees F.
Remove the bagels from the oven and transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

A can of cream of mushroom soup can be a real dinner saver. It works great in casseroles and can turn into a sauce or gravy in a pinch.
The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.
