ingredients
6 cups flour
1 tablespoon salt
1/4 cup sugar
2 cups water (warm)
1 tablespoon yeast
2 eggs, well beaten
1 cup oil
directions
Dissolve yeast in water with a pinch of sugar. Mix in with other ingredients. Knead 10 minutes. Let rise until doubled in bulk (about 45 minutes).
Punch down and let rise again. Punch down and form into bun shapes (hamburger or hot dog). Let rise until double.
Bake at 375 degrees F for 20 minutes. Let cool until just warm to the touch; place in a sealed bag to soften crust.

I usually cut this in half. Double wrap and freeze any remaining ones.

I ran out of white flour, so I used about a third whole grain flour, and it turned out delicious anyway. The rolls baked much faster than the recipe said they would, though, so watch out.
At the end of your instructions where you mention that you "usually cut this in half" do you mean that you usually only make half as many buns or that you cut the buns in half before putting them in the freezer? And if you cut the recipe in half, is the information about servings accurate (This recipe from CDKitchen for Hamburger Buns serves/makes 16) or is that accurate for the ingredient measurements you've given?
I think she means she usually cuts the recipe in half (to make 8 instead of 16) but that you can freeze them if you do make the full batch and do not need all of them at once.
