ingredients
1 3/4 cup water
2 tablespoons golden syrup
1 tablespoon butter
1 cup sugar
2 tablespoons butter
1 1/2 cup self rising flour
1 egg
milk
cream
directions
Put the water in saucepan with golden syrup, 1 tablespoon butter and sugar.
Rub 2 tablespoons butter into self rising flour and mix with egg and a little milk if needed. Make into small balls and drop into boiling golden syrup mixture for about 1/2 hour.
Serve with cream. They are really delicious.
