Slow Cooker Northern Bean Soup

ingredients
1 pound dry Great Northern white beans
1 pound ham, cubed
2 medium onions, chopped
1/2 green pepper, chopped
1 cup sliced celery
1 can (16 ounce size) diced tomatoes, drained
4 carrots, peeled and chopped
1 can (4 oz size) chopped green chiles
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 quart water
directions
Add the beans to a large pot and add enough cool water to cover. Let soak overnight. Drain well.
Add the soaked beans and remaining ingredients to the crock pot. Stir well.
Cover the crock pot and cook on high for 2 hours. Turn the heat to low and cook for 8 more hours or until the beans are tender.
Adjust seasoning as needed before serving.
