ingredients

1 package turkey neckbones
1 package frozen corn
1 package frozen peas
1 package frozen okra
1 package frozen lima beans
2 cans stewed tomatoes
1 dash seasoned salt
black pepper, to taste
2 bay leaves
2 chopped large yellow onions

directions

Cook neckbones in water in a large dutch oven or a really large pot.

Add onions, seasoned salt and pepper. Skim fat and slime off the meat. Cook until it is so tender that the meat falls off the bone. You can leave the bones or remove them.

Add the veggies and the bay leaves and stew for 45 minutes on low heat.

pork or beef neckbones may replace the turkey necks. You may also want to use the vegetables of your choice. I use potatoes, onions, green beans, carrots, a clove or two of garlic, parsley, celery or celery flakes. It is very good.
