Buttered shrimp are coated with homemade seasoned bread crumbs and quickly oven-baked until done.
4 ounces butter or margarine
6 large shrimp
PREPARED BREAD CRUMBS
2 cups plain bread crumbs
2 teaspoons finely minced shallots
2 teaspoons chopped parsley
1 1/2 tablespoon chopped fresh garlic
salt and pepper
In a small saucepan, melt 4 oz. butter. The butter should be warm, not hot. Dip cleaned shrimp in warm butter, one at a time. Let excess butter drain off, then pad buttered shrimp into prepared bread crumbs (see recipe below).
Place breaded shrimp on baking sheet, vein side down with the tail curled up. Place sheet in 500 degrees F oven for approximately 4-5 minutes, until golden brown.
Serve with white wine butter sauce or any other light cream sauce.
PREPARED BREAD CRUMBS: Mince shallots, chop garlic and parsley. In a mixing bowl, combine garlic, shallots and parsley into plain bread crumbs, being careful not to leave any lumps of garlic or shallots. Add salt and pepper to taste.

I substituted the Shrimp Alexander in my Shrimp Louie salad making it a complete and healthy meal. Everyone loved it ! Especially with the Green Goddess dressing on top.
I would give this 5 star!! This recipe sounds delicious and I grew up on the Gulf Coast of Tx eating shrimp all the time. I have ate Shrimp Alfredo, but never thought of using it as a dipping sauce(wonderful) for shrimp, much less baking shrimp. From the South, you know we fry everything but I am going to try to bake my shrimp now and cut out the grease!!

I believe the recipe omits the step of butterflying the shrimp so they stand with their tails up. You don't have to do this but it makes for a wonderful presentation. I served these with a modified alfredo sauce (I sautee mushrooms in sherry then add to a basic white sauce with parmesan and crumbled bacon). Delish!
