Greek Minestrone Soup

ingredients
1/2 pound lean ground beef
1/2 cup onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
1/2 cup uncooked orzo (rice shaped pasta)
2 teaspoons chopped fresh oregano
OR
3/4 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
1 can (15 ounce size) garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed
1 can (14.5 ounce size) diced tomatoes, undrained
1 can (14 ounce size) ready to serve beef broth
1 can (8 ounce size) tomato sauce
directions
In a large saucepan, cook ground beef, onion and garlic over medium high heat until beef is thoroughly cooked, stirring frequently. Drain.
Add all remaining ingredients, mixing well. Bring to a boil over medium high heat. Reduce heat to medium and simmer 5-10 minutes or until orzo is tender, stirring occasionally.
