A can of cream of mushroom soup can be a real dinner saver. It works great in casseroles and can turn into a sauce or gravy in a pinch.

If it ain't broke don't fix it. These classic molasses cookies are still going strong. Super chewy and delightfully spiced with ginger, cinnamon, and cloves.
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup softened butter
1/4 cup shortening
3/4 cup molasses
1 egg
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon salt
granulated sugar
Combine the brown sugar, butter, and shortening in a mixing bowl. Beat on medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy.
Add the molasses and egg and beat until well mixed.
With the mixer running on low speed, add the flour 1/2 cup at a time, the baking soda, the cinnamon, ground ginger, ground cloves, and salt. Beat until the cookie dough is well mixed.
Cover the bowl and refrigerate the dough for 1-2 hours or until firm.
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
Place the sugar in a shallow dish. Shape the molasses cookie dough into 1 1/2-inch balls. Roll the balls in the sugar and place them 2-inches apart on ungreased baking sheets. Gently flatten the balls with a glass that has had the bottom dipped in sugar.
Place the cookies in the oven and bake at 375 degrees F for 8-11 minutes or until set. Remove the baking sheets from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes then transfer to a wire rack.
Store the cooled molasses cookies in an airtight container.

Pizza night is always a favorite, especially when you have great tasting pizza from some of the most popular restaurants.
It may look like a sad little package shoved in the back of your freezer, but frozen spinach actually has a lot of culinary uses (and some may surprise you).

THESE WERE WHAT MY GRANDMA AND MOSTHER USED TO MAKE!!! FABULOUS... been lookin for this recipe for YEARS. I didnt change anything except i quadrupled(4x's) the batch all at once. this took a whole entire bottle of brer rabbit molasses, but was SOOOOOOO worth it. this is part of my permanent collection. i used "sparkling sugar crystals" to roll the cookies in and it looked JUST LIKE MY MOMMA's!!!!!!!.

These were a hit at the work party I made them for (and was asked to bring them again), but I only got about 40 cookies out of this. Still, with only a cup of sugar in 40 cookies, these are very nice and it's okay to have two or three :)
