This iconic whiskey is a "Jack of all trades" when it comes to cooking. Toss it in some pasta, as a savory dipping sauce, and even bake it into something sweet.

The secret for the easiest cookies ever? Cake mix. Fantastic way to whip up a bunch of cookie dough quickly and cut out some fun shapes.

1 box (15-18 ounce size) yellow cake mix
1/4 cup oil
1 tablespoon water
1 egg
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Combine the cake mix, oil, water, and egg in a mixing bowl. Beat on medium speed with an electric mixer until smooth and the mixture forms a dough. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for 20 minutes.
Form the dough into a ball and place on a lightly floured work surface. Roll the dough out with a rolling pin to a 1/4-inch thickness. Cut as desired with cookie cutters, re-rolling the dough as needed.
Place the cookies on ungreased baking sheets and bake for 6 minutes at 350 degrees F. Remove from the baking sheets and let cool on a wire rack. Frost or decorate as desired. Store the cookies in an airtight container.

Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.

Easy way to make cookies when you don't have a lot of ingredients on hand. Probably could use any flavor cake mix, I only tried with yellow.
