recipe tips

Make sure all ingredients are at room temperature for better mixing.

Do not overmix the dough to keep the cookies tender.

Use a cookie scoop for evenly sized cookies.

Leave enough space between each cookie on the baking sheet as they will spread.

Rotate the baking sheet halfway through baking for even browning.

Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes to set before transferring to a wire rack.

Try adding different mix-ins like raisins or chopped nuts.

For a festive twist, add a sprinkle of cinnamon sugar on top before baking.

Always preheat the oven for consistent baking results.

Be careful not to overbake to avoid hard cookies.

What a hassle free recipe! The cookies turned out chewy and packed with flavor. I added 3/4 c. chopped pecans to my recipe which supplied some crunch. I will definately be making these again! Kids LOVED 'em!
