Not to be confused with evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk is very sweet (and very sticky) and used primarily in desserts.

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup poppy seeds
1 1/4 cup milk
1/3 cup vegetable oil
3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 egg
Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease bottom only of a loaf pan 9 x 5 x 3 inches in size.
Mix all ingredients and beat 30 seconds with spoon. Pour into pan.
Bake for 1 hour 10 minutes to 1 hour 20 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes.
Loosen sides of loaves from pan. Remove from pan to wire rack. Cool completely.

What's the secret ingredient in these cakes? Pudding mix. It not only adds flavor but it gives the cake a richer, creamier texture. No one will know your secret ingredient!
