This easy poppy seed bread blends all-purpose flour, sugar, and poppy seeds, then bakes up to a nicely textured loaf. Just a few minutes of prep, and it's oven-ready.

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup poppy seeds
1 1/4 cup milk
1/3 cup vegetable oil
3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 egg
Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease bottom only of a loaf pan 9 x 5 x 3 inches in size.
Mix all ingredients and beat 30 seconds with spoon. Pour into pan.
Bake for 1 hour 10 minutes to 1 hour 20 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes.
Loosen sides of loaves from pan. Remove from pan to wire rack. Cool completely.
