The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.

ingredients
Bread
3 cups flour
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 1/2 cup milk
1 cup oil
bourbon whiskey
5 ounces canned fruit mix, covered in bourbon for 1 hour
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 teaspoon orange flavoring
Glaze
1 stick butter
1 cup powdered sugar
1/4 cup apple juice
1/2 tablespoon bourbon whiskey
directions
Combine first 10 ingredients in the order given and mix well. Bake in 2 greased and floured pans at 350 degrees F for approximately 60 minutes; test for doneness with toothpick.
Mix glaze ingredients; bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes. Pour glaze over bread immediately after pulled from oven.

Would love to try this...but how much bourbon do you add to the cake?
It is kind of vague, but I believe they are implying you use enough to just cover the fruit while it's soaking.
