Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.

Bisquick comes to the rescue with this simple way to make crescent rolls (that don't come from a can)

2 cups buttermilk baking mix
1/2 cup cold water
3 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
Combine baking mix and water in a bowl until a soft dough forms. Beat vigorously 30 seconds. Turn onto a surface well floured with baking mix. Gently roll in baking mix to coat. Shape into a ball. Knead 10 times. Roll or pat into a 12 inch circle. Spread with butter and sprinkle with cheese.
Cut into 12 wedges. Roll up, beginning at rounded edges. Place rolls, with points underneath, on an ungreased cookie sheet. Curve slightly. Bake 10-12 minutes, until golden brown.
