2 cups water
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup quick-cooking rolled oats
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
2 tablespoons butter
Combine the water and salt in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to a rolling boil. Add the rolled oats to the water and stir well. Bring to a boil and let cook for 1 minute.
Remove the pan from the heat. Stir in the brown sugar, peanut butter, and butter. Mix until the peanut butter is melted.
Serve hot.

This is a tasty way to prepare oatmeal that would work well for breakfast or a quick, low-key supper. I cooked it in milk to make it extra creamy. It would also be good with chocolate chips.
