Well, the flavor at first taste, seems fine. HOWEVER, the time and/or temperature was all wrong. I wasn't sure what to expect of a custard pie, but i ended up spilling a puddle of the pie into the bottom of my oven... after burning myself while trying to steadily place my puddle of a pie onto the oven rack. It then took the pie much longer to bake than usual, which almost burned my crust. Thanks to the wisdom of my mother, I put foil around the edges to salvage. So, the temperature should probably stay at 400 or even higher for about 20 extra minutes, with the crust protected, then turn it down to 300 or 350 for the remainder of the baking time. If anyone knows pie-baking and custard better than I do, don't listen to this review. Figure it out yourself, I'm just guessing on the adjustments after what I went through with this experience... Probably won't make this pie ever again, unless I can figure out better time and temperature.
