1 pound Oreo cookies, crushed
2 sticks butter or margarine
2/3 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 1/2 cup evaporated milk
2 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 gallon coffee ice cream

Melt slowly half the butter and blend in with cookies. Press into a 9" x 13" Pyrex pan.
In a saucepan, melt rest of butter and chocolate chips. Add evaporated milk and powdered sugar, stirring constantly. Bring to a boil, remove from heat and add vanilla.
Spread ice cream on top of the crust. Add sauce on top of the ice cream, then freeze. Top with crushed nuts, if desired.
