Oatmeal Sesame Sticks

ingredients
3/4 cup butter
1 1/2 cup lightly packed brown sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 1/4 cups rolled oats (not quick oats)
3/4 cup sesame seeds
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F and butter a 15" x 10" jelly roll (sheet cake) pan.
Gently melt butter in a large saucepan over low heat. Stir in brown sugar and vanilla. Increase heat to medium and cook for 2 minutes or until mixture is bubbly.
Remove from heat and stir in oats, sesame seeds and baking powder, mixing well.
Press firmly with the back of a greased spoon into the prepared pan. Bake at 375 degrees F for 7 to 10 minutes or until golden.
Cool on a wire rack and cut into bars about 2" x 1".
