This creamy, lower sugar frosting is delicious on cakes, cupcakes, or any frosting-needy dessert.

1 envelope nondairy topping mix such as Dream Whip
1/2 cup skim milk, chilled
1/4 cup granulated brown sugar substitute
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Combine the nondairy topping mix and milk in a chilled metal mixing bowl. Beat on low speed with an electric mixer until the topping mix dissolves.
Add the brown sugar substitute and vanilla extract to the mixture. Beat on medium speed until stiff peaks form.
Spread the frosting on cooled cakes or cupcakes.
