This Italian cheese is so versatile that it can be used in both sweet and savory recipes from cheesecakes to lasagnas.

1 large package lemon gelatin powder
2 cups hot water
1 cup Mountain Dew soda
1 cup pineapple juice
1 container frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 can lemon pie filling
2 bananas, sliced
2 cups miniature marshmallows
Dissolve the gelatin powder in the hot water. Add Mountain Dew and pineapple juice. Allow to cool until it begins to set. Fold in bananas and marshmallows. Allow gelatin to set.
Fold pie filling into 1 1/2 cups of the whipped topping and spread over set gelatin. Top with remaining whipped topping. Chill.
