Chicken Mushroom Casserole With Croutons

ingredients
5 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves, cut into bite-sized pieces
2 cans (10.75 ounce size) cream of mushroom soup
1/2 pint sour cream
1 can (4 ounce size) mushroom stems and pieces
1 can (8 ounce size) sliced water chestnuts, optional
1 package (6 ounce size) plain or seasoned croutons
1/3 cup melted butter
directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9x13 baking pan.
In a large bowl, combine the chicken, cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, mushrooms, and water chestnuts. Mix well then spoon the mixture into the greased baking dish.
Evenly sprinkle the croutons over the top of the chicken mixture. Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the croutons.
Place the baking dish in the oven and bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour or until the casserole is bubbly in the middle.
Remove from the oven and serve immediately.
