1 1/3 cup water
2 tablespoons canola oil
3 tablespoons honey
1 1/2 cup white bread flour
1 1/3 cup whole wheat bread flour
1/2 cup flax seed, coarsely ground
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons active dry yeast

directions

Before using, first grind the flax seed in a spice/coffee grinder, processor or blender to a granular consistency to release its inner phytonutrients.

Add ingredients to bread machine pan according to manufacturers directions.

Select Basic White cycle and press Start.

    This recipe is great. I did have to add about 1/8th cup more flour during the first 5 min. of the mixing process. used dough setting on machine, put in bread pan to rise. Baked in the oven for 35 to 45 min. Turned out great

    I doubled this using the online device because my bread machine does not do 1.5 lb loaves. -- it appears to have calculated too much water. The middle had sunk in and it was way to much for the bread pan. I'll have to slavage this somehow,

    • You typically cannot just double a bread recipe easily, unfortunately. It's just one of the limitations of baking.
