Instant Pasta E Fagioli

There are many variations on the classic Italian soup, pasta e fagioli. This near-instant version is closer to the stew-like varieties, yielding a hearty meal.

ingredients

2 cups elbow macaroni
1 can (8 ounce size) tomato sauce, more if a soupier consistency is desired
1 can (15 ounce size) chili with beans
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese

directions

Cook the macaroni as according to the package directions. Drain well then return the pasta to the pot.

Add the tomato sauce, chili, and Parmesan to the macaroni. Mix well and heat over medium heat. Cook, stirring frequently, for about 5 minutes or until heated through. Serve hot.
