- #115051

2-5 hrs
ingredients
6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup honey
1 cup sugar
1 package (12 ounce size) semisweet chocolate chips
1 package (12 ounce size) butterscotch chips
directions
Butter a 9- x 13-inch baking dish.
In a large bowl, place the Rice Krispies and peanut butter but do not mix just yet. Set aside.
In a heavy medium saucepan, heat the honey and sugar just until it is boiling. Immediately remove from heat and pour into the bowl with the cereal and peanut butter. Stir using a wooden spoon or silicone spatula until well combined. Lightly press mixture evenly into prepared baking dish.
In a microwave safe bowl, melt the chocolate and butterscotch chips together for 1-2 minutes stirring every 30 seconds or until melted and smooth. Spread evenly over the Rice Krispies.
Allow to set at room temperature for several hours or until the bars have hardened. Slice into approximately 30 small bars. Store leftovers in a covered container between sheets of waxed paper for up to 7 days.

Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
