You'll feel like you're on a tropical island when sipping this citrusy coconut rum cocktail.
ice
1 1/2 ounce coconut rum
1/2 ounce triple sec
4 ounces fresh orange juice
4 ounces fresh pineapple juice
1 cherry
1 slice orange or pineapple
Fill a cocktail shaker half full with ice. Add the rum, triple sec, orange juice, pineapple juice. Shake well then strain into a hurricane or other tall cocktail glass.
Garnish with a cherry and citrus slice, if desired. Serve immediately.

A little "light" on the booze so I used 2 oz each of oj and pineapple instead of 4 oz ea.

This is a very refreshing drink. Simple to make and tastes great!!! My guests thought I spent alot of time and money on this drink. Who's to tell them different! Not me. The cherry adds a great touch to the drink.

I recently went on a Eastern Carribean cruise and purchased some light-up Hurricane glasses. This recipe is a must for my glasses. This is definatly a GREAT summer drink to serve to your friends. Makes you feel like you are in the Bahamas for sure! I will make this recipe often!
