Bacon Corn Sticks Recipe

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cup yellow cornmeal
1/2 cup flour
1/4 cup shortening
1 1/2 cup buttermilk
4 slices bacon, crisply cooked and crumbled
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2 eggs
Directions:
Heat oven to 450. Grease corn stick pans.
Mix all ingredients; beat vigorously 30 seconds. Fill pans about 7/8 full.
Bake 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
