Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.
Grand Marnier Souffle With Lady Finger Crust

ingredients
3 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons flour
1/2 cup Grand Marnier
2/3 cup milk
5 eggs, separated
1/2 cup sugar
8 lady fingers
1/4 teaspoon salt
directions
Melt butter, blend with flour. Gradually add milk, stirring. Add sugar, salt and vanilla. When thick and smooth, let cool. Add Grand Marnier and beaten yolks. Stir well. Fold in whipped egg whites.
Butter and sugar a 2-quart dish. Crumble lady fingers and sprinkle with Grand Marnier. Pour batter into dish. Bake at 400 degrees F for 15 minutes and reduce to 375 degrees F for 15 minutes.
Serve with vanilla ice cream whipped with Grand Marnier.
