It may look like a sad little package shoved in the back of your freezer, but frozen spinach actually has a lot of culinary uses (and some may surprise you).

- #123073

2-5 hrs
ingredients
1 package green split peas
1 package yellow split peas
4 stalks celery, thinly sliced
1 large onion, chopped, fine
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 1/2 teaspoon white pepper
10 cups corned beef liquid
6 cups water
1 cup carrots, thin sliced or grate
1 cup leftover corned beef, chopped
directions
Combine all ingredients in the same pot you've just cooked the corned beef and veggies in. Bring to a boil, then cook until peas are soft, about 2-3 hours, on simmer.
Stir often as peas tend to stick and burn. Add more water if necessary.
